Alysha & Tyler
Love Story

Tyler and I were introduced to each other by our mutual friends back in 2013 at The Harp Hotel. On our first date at a dumpling house we came to realise just how much we had in common, we both share a great love for adventure, the outdoors, and having a laugh (even if it is at the expense of one another). After a few months together we headed off on a trip to New Zealand, this particular trip cemented our friendship and relationship.

Since those early days we have created so many incredible memories together. We have shared many adventures hiking, travelling, skiing, saving for our first home, and welcoming our golden retriever Archie into our family. Together we have continued to build an honest relationship and a bond that is now unbreakable.
It was in 2019 on a beach up at Cape Tribulation where things got real in our relationship! We were walking on the beach just before sunset, I was taking my time snapping photos of the beach, with my back turned to Tyler; I heard him say 'hey', to get me to turn around, and to my surprise Tyler was down on one knee holding out a gorgeous ring, asking me to marry him. The moment was beautiful and something I will always cherish.
The Day
We could both agree that there were many highlights of our wedding day! To start with all of our vendors were just incredible with communication and organisation, everything always felt smooth and easy with the team we had surrounded ourselves with from the get go. We are very grateful to all our vendors and everyone who was involved in making our dream day come true!
Maddy, the Event Manager from At The Heads, both herself and the staff were just flawless. From Maddy making sure all the details we wanted to include for our day were accounted for, to helping dry the seats just before the ceremony, we simply cannot thank her and the team enough!
I still cant get past the show stopping florals Erin created for us, from the unbelievable hanging installation at the venue to the floral towers at the ceremony, she absolutely made my dreams come to life!

Our photographer Michaela and Videographer Irwin both brought such good energy to the day. We loved having them capture the magic of our day; the photographs and video are everything we dreamed of, we both couldn't be happier with how they turned out.
Cal Young our guitarist knows how to set good vibes for a wedding! His acoustics sets had all our family and friends up and about, and then when he switched to our DJ later on, he continued to have everyone up and dancing. Which is exactly how we wanting our reception to be, one big party with our nearest and dearest!

One memorable moment would be the ride I had with my bride tribe, mum and Mark from Coastal Kombi on the way to the ceremony. It was pouring with rain, we had the music blasting, and we were dancing away in the car. Mark had suggested we drive up to the bluff for a gorgeous view before heading to the ceremony and gosh that was the best idea! Once we got to the bluff, us girls sipping on champagne, we saw a rainbow start to appear. The rain then stopped and out came the sun! Mark then promptly said "perfect, lets get you to the ceremony!" The timing of it all couldn't have been more impeccable. Nothing was going to dampen our vibe we were lucky enough to get some of that Kombi Karma on our wedding day!

A funny moment from the day would have to be the moment I realised I had accidentally forgotten my veil just before walking down the aisle. I had just gotten out of the car and was preparing to link arms with my mum and dad to walk down the aisle. I was overwhelmed with excitement and nerves, I then went to reach my hand back to what I thought was my veil only to realise it wasn't there! My bridesmaids had already started walking down the aisle at this point so I had no choice but to walk out there, there was no turning back to get it. I was very lucky that my sister's boyfriend popped back to our airbnb to collect it so I was still able to have some photos taken with it after the ceremony.

Another memorable moment for us would have to be our Golden Retriever Archie being our ring bearer. We had been training him for months to carry our wedding rings in a basket. On the day we had then organised our close friends to let Archie free at the end of the aisle with the basket in his mouth and he nailed carrying our rings down the aisle to us. We were so happy to have him involved in our special day, as he is part of our family and means the world to the both of us! .
Tyler and I just feel so grateful that we were able to celebrate our marriage with our family and friends. The day was an absolute dream and we can't thank all of our vendors enough!
