Big Love Elopements
Back in 2018, mates Jake and Jessie caught up over a coffee (why it was not a cocktail we have no idea) because we had an idea! We wanted to nut out a way of providing relaxed, fun and stress free weddings to couples who weren’t looking for all the bells and whistles of a big wedding. We realised so many couples these days had already started a family, or building a house or saving for something big and the idea of spending an exorbitant amount of $$$ on one day was seeing them put plans on hold or running for the registry office.

So we wanted to swoop them up in our arms and say “come fly with us darlings, we’ll set you free”, we just weren’t sure how yet.
​
So over the course of the next year we caught up on the reg, drank our lattes (Jessie Soy, Jake Almond, who even are we?), worked through our thoughts and feelings (now I know why we didn’t do it over cocktails…) and once we cleared our heads, we concentrated on creating the freshest, juiciest, first of it’s kind elopement experience Geelong has ever seen, and voila!

Big Love Elopements was born!

We kickstarted our biz with our classic 2 Hour package which is still our most favoured flavour to date, and from there we have built on that dream and expanded our empire to create elopement experiences to suit every couple. And because we need more brightness and positive energy in our lives, we’ve since doubled our team and we are pinching ourselves as to how we lucked out with Verity and Chloe. They are the bomb!

A little more about the Big Love team

Jessie. Small in height but certainly makes up for it in voluminous hair, Jessie will bring all the good vibes and relaxed feels to your day. She has a knack of putting everyone at ease, make your love story sound like it came straight out of a Disney movie and do it all with a smile on her face and a laugh at the ready.
Jake. Believer of love. Lover of celebrations. Photographer of good vibes. I think my style is best summarised by this comment from one of my past couples: “You know, Jake, for a tall bearded redhead, we really didn’t notice you running around snapping that much. Thanks for making things so comfortable and so easy.”

Chloe. Looking for a stress-free, personal & light-hearted wedding ceremony? You’re in the right place. I place importance on helping my couples feel relaxed and at ease through the ceremony planning process. I have over ten years of experience in event management, and a wealth of life experience I offer to my couples.

Verity. Whilst being a photographer is one of the things that make me very happy in life, this is also me:
A wife to a hot husband, a mum to two littlies, a vintage caravan owner and lifelong camper, a creative at heart, a coffee drinker and tea drinker, equally, and of course, a lover of love.
