Bronte & Frank
Our Love Story
Well let's rewind to the summer of 2012, I had just moved from the Yarra Valley to Torquay for a summer of fun, and my first weekend down there, I met a charming, handsome and rather quiet carpenter named Frank. We spent the night dancing at the Torquay pub and were inseparable ever since.
We have shared so many amazing memories together, from backpacking around South America for 5 months, Frank forever chasing waves while I read a good book on the beach, scuba diving in Fiji, running our pop-up coffee shop in Mallacoota, purchasing and renovating our home in Geelong and now sharing our life with our gorgeous golden retriever Flo. It's not just the big adventures, it's the small moments that we love about each other. It's singing in our kitchen while cooking, taking Flo for long beach walks, spending time with our friends and families, daydreaming about our dream home in Jan Juc, and now we're onto the biggest adventure of our lives - Baby Cahir will be joining us in April 2023!
The Day
Where do we begin! We woke up together to the most magical sunrise and we were so lucky with the weather for the whole day. Being surrounded by our wedding party while getting ready at the same house meant we were relaxed and had fun in the lead up to the ceremony. We love Lorne, so being able to get married down there and enjoy the coast was perfect.
Ceremony highlights: Bronte's Mum & Dad walked her down the aisle, seeing Flo down the end with Frank! Hannah May is an incredible celebrant, she has the best and most welcoming vibe, and we asked all our guests to take a selfie before the ceremony began. Laughing throughout the ceremony, even though Bronte's vows were quite a bit longer than Franks. The first kiss!!!
Celebrating with the most epic champagne tower and showering all our guests in bottles of prosecco, the bubbles just kept coming! Our outdoor first dance to an acoustic version of 'Walking on a Dream' by Empire of the Sun, followed by an upbeat, twirling extravaganza father-daughter dance.
The Peak was the most incredible venue, wonderful team and gorgeous spots around the venue for photos. We loved the native Australian feel. The team were so accommodating, we had the most delicious sit-down dinner and partied well into the night. Our speeches were packed with laughter and love.
The most special part of the day was being able to celebrate with our loved ones, it's always been the people who fill our lives, and our wedding day was the highest of highs!

Mismatched bridesmaid dresses! My 6 bridesmaids chose their own based on a colour scheme and it was a fun mix of pinks, greens and cream. I loved how it came together and everyone felt comfortable on the day!
To acknowledge my grandmothers who could not be with us, I had a white handkerchief and a colourful scarf wrapped around my bouquet.
Toms Tunes set up the first dance floor outside on the golf green and it was magical to dance under the moon.
It was so special to have Flo part of the ceremony, although she was more interested in the Kangaroos! Some of our favourite photos are with her.
