Courtney & Jake

Love Story

This love story is one made from pure magic. A love story that sparks joy - one that those around Courtney and Jake know didn’t happen by chance. Against the backdrop of someone else’s wedding, Courtney and Jake’s romance began without them even knowing it.
After their initial connection working alongside each other at a wedding, Courtney spent time in Canada and reached out to Jake for work experience when she landed back in Australia. After working a few weddings together, their connection grew stronger and stronger – each of them crediting this special formative time in their relationship to the unique bond they now have.

Chatting late one night after a job on mother’s day, Courtney opened up about the loss of her mother. The couple talked for hours, their conversation lit by a sky full of stars at Dog Rocks till 3am. Coming back together the next night to the exact same spot, their lives would never be the same – they opened their hearts to each other and never looked back.

Since then, Courtney and Jake have welcomed a daughter into the world, bought a home together and surrounded themselves with loved ones that cherish this couple and their family.
The Day

Throwing tradition out the window, Courtney and Jake decided to spend their wedding morning getting ready together, soaking up the slowness of a wedding in their own backyard. After spending the morning with their daughter and parents, they invited a small group of friends and family to witness their commitment to each other; their ceremony taking place after a loved up cocktail hour spent chatting, connecting and celebrating (with good food and drink of course!).
During their ceremony, Courtney and Jake personalised their moment with vows that embraced their special journey together, including songs that pulled on heartstrings.

Relishing in the celebration vibe, Courtney and Jake made a grand entrance to their reception. Welcoming more guests into their space, the room was filled with excitement and anticipation as the couple entered with a bang and set the tone for the biggest party of their lives.
Crediting their unique celebration to the hard work of their amazing vendors, Courtney and Jake handpicked each business thanks to their own years of experience in the industry.

Surrounded by people that truly love and celebrate the life Courtney and Jake have built together, the couple couldn’t have asked for a better start to their married life – a love story that was almost certainly written in the stars.
