Hayley & Andy
Our Love Story
Our first date was a walk along the Torquay dog beach at sunset. We hit it off instantly and realised how much we had in common. Since those early days we have shared many exciting milestones. We have travelled, bought a house and welcomed a beautiful little boy. Andy romantically took me back to the same Dog Beach with our Golden Retriever Cooper and got down on one knee to ask me to marry him.

The Day
We always wanted an indoor ceremony that felt intimate and Truffleduck ticked all the boxes, especially with there stunning garden that wraps around the venue, it made for a beautiful backdrop. As the weather was so warm and sunny they opened all the glass bifold doors. The room looked incredible with the flower arrangements done by Rachelle from The Posie Place. The setting was very romantic with flowers and candles down the aisle leading to floral plinths.
Sue Warner did a fantastic job being our celebrant. She made our ceremony vibrant and it was full of fun, laughter and love.
Whilst the guests had canapes in the garden, the team at Truffleduck set up the inside for a sit-down reception for 120 guests. It was a truly amazing transformation. The food and service was incredible and the dessert bar under the chandelier was a highlight.
Our photographer and videographer from La Este captured the entire day perfectly from getting ready in the morning to capturing magical moments of the both of us and our guests throughout our day. We both couldn't be happier with how they turned out.
Cal Young was our entertainment, he knows how to set good vibes for a wedding! I (Hayley) went to primary school with Cal so to have him sing at our wedding made it feel very personal. I walked down the aisle to "La Vie En Rose" which he had learnt for us. His voice in the acoustic sets created a perfect atmosphere for our wedding. Later in the night Cal's DJ skills were infectious and kept the dance floor full of happy guests.
We had an extra logistical plan in place for our 10-month old son. It was such a memorable moment having him at our wedding. He enjoyed the day at the house entertaining the bridesmaids, or should we say keeping them on their toes! He sat in the front row of the ceremony with his Grandparents on his best behaviour. After a few photos, we had good friends take him home to bed. Our Golden Retriever Cooper also loved being apart of our day and was transported from one house to another. He was the perfect poser for photos.
Andy and I just feel so grateful that we were able to celebrate our marriage with our family and friends. The day was an absolute dream and we can't thank all of our vendors enough!
