Indie & Jack
Our Love Story

Jack and I met back in 2015 at a mutual friends house before hitting the town. I knew instantly that I liked Jack but for him it took some convincing from his mates before he came and made the first move on the dance floor.
Unfortunately, after 6 months of seeing each other, things ended. We were both young and moved on to other things. Two and a half years later we met again, I was inside a local Geelong club dressed as a cowboy when Jack popped up and said Hi. I wasn't really the biggest fan of Jack's as he hadn't left things well the last time, yet he continued to persist.
Less than a year later Jack and I ventured to Byron Bay for my birthday where my parents had gifted me a skydiving voucher. As we arrived Jack looked very uncomfortable and nervous which is when he told me he would also be skydiving, I should mention that Jack is incredibly scared of heights. After the most beautiful jump, Jack went out to the car to put things away while I waited for our photos as I came back out from collecting the photos, here he was on one knee under a beautiful big tree with a ring in hand. Of course, I said yes.
We were still young and in no rush to actually get married which was a blessing in disguise as just before covid hit we fell pregnant with our beautiful son. As he grew and life came back to normal, we began planning our dream day. It was the most magical day and having our son, Saxby there made it that much more special.
The Day

Our wedding day went off without a hitch. The whole day was incredible and would not have been possible without the amazing vendors we had.
A big highlight for both Jack and I was our ceremony. Our celebrant Luke from Make it Fabulous tailored our ceremony to us and our story. He took the time to get to know us as a couple and individually. On the day, despite the freezing wind he made everyone comfortable. There were laughs and tears and smiles all around.
We had a bet between our bridal party, it was the boys vs the girls in who could do the best entrance for the reception. My bridesmaids spent months rehearsing and one even learnt how to roller skate and incorporated it into their entrance, the boys in typical manner waited till the last minute and chose to do a scene from the inbetweeners movie. It was hilarious and both the boys and girls got an eruption of cheers.
Another big moment for Jack and I was our first dance, we started with the traditional slow side to side sway and then busted out our choreographed routine which we had been working on in secret for months. As a previous dancer a lot of people were disappointed when we told them we had nothing crazy planned so the look and cheers we got when the music changed was exactly what we wanted. Everyone thought it was so funny and they were all so surprised! We also had the best time dancing and taking photos in the photo booth.
A special mention to Mt Duneed Estate, particularly Keeley who helped our day run so smoothly as well as our videographers Hanna and Zack and our photographer Ash who captured our day so perfectly. The photos and video both apture our day in a way that we didn't think was possible and now we have those memories forever.
Our florist, Rachelle from the Posie Place really knocked it out of the park, we were so impressed. The day flew right past us so quickly and we wish we could relive it again but we will cherish it forever.
