We both met in Highschool and had been together for 10 years before we got engaged. Brodie proposed down at a Torquay beach where we would go regularly to walk our dog.

Our ceremony and reception were held at the beautiful Rusty Gate Estate in front of 120 of our closet family and friends. After the ceremony our guests enjoyed cocktails (Pimms and Mosque Mules, which they couldn’t get enough off being a warm summer afternoon) and canapes out the front of our Marquee, with music in the background from our band The Baker Boys whilst the bridal party had photos at a number of locations around the property.

We both wanted a very relaxed wedding that felt like one big party. We went for a 3pm ceremony time so we would have more time on the dance floor with our family and friends. After dinner, speech’s and our first dance – our guests and of course Brodie and I couldn’t be kept off the dance floor. As we know how much our friends and family love a good time we opted to have a dance floor outside as well (there was plenty of space for dance moves).

We really wanted to be outside for our wedding as much as possible – our Marquee was very open, bringing the outside in. The style we went for was simple but natural. As everything in the Marquee was crisp white I wanted the florals to really stand out and be the feature – we had a 6m beam running down the centre of the Marquee with foliage all over it and 3 very large table runners, at the end of our tables. The ladies from As Daisy Does did such an amazing job!

We were both so relaxed all day and had the most amazing day/night with our of our closest friends and family!
