Love Story

Just like a real-life romance movie, Kate and Zach first met at a work Christmas party and instantly felt a connection. Fast forward to their first date, holidays overseas, a fur-baby named Lewis, and a home they can call their own; the couple feel like they have truly found a friend in each other. After three years together and under the twinkle of fairy lights, Zach proposed to Kate surround by flowers and champagne on their deck at home and they dove head-first into planning the rest of their lives together.

 

The Day

Most couples plan for a hiccup when planning their big day, some bad weather or at worst a power outage, but Kate and Zach could never have planned for a global pandemic to postpone their day twice! After moving their wedding from October 2020 to June 2021, eight months of rescheduling plans were swiftly foiled again by tightening restrictions in Victoria. Looking at the calendar yet again, Kate and Zach started arranging bookings for September 2021 until Zach had an even better idea. He worked with every single vendor to move their wedding to a week later and their perfect wedding day was back on! Four days after he surprised Kate with their new plans, they were married.

Kate and Zach chose to stay together the night before their wedding, starting their special day off slowly, soaking up every moment. The weather turned it on for them and under a sunny blue sky, their 17 guests witnessed the couple read the vows they had written themselves under an old gum tree at Rocklea Farm. Their celebrant Jessie embraced the moment, making the intimate guest list laugh and cry while revealing in the couple’s love story.

Basking in the love that radiated from their ceremony, the couple and their guests moved their party to a local restaurant where the night was a whirlwind of eating, drinking and dancing. The picture perfect ending to their real-life romance movie, over eight months in the making.
