Love Story

Eight years before their own wedding day, Katie and Emmanuel met as wedding guests. Connecting thanks to Jess’ older sister and Emmanuel’s best friend who were dating, Katie and Emmanuel shared an instant connection. Despite having completely different backgrounds, they have walked through all of life’s highs and lows together, creating an unbreakable bond.

Katie and Emmanuel were engaged in September of 2019, and with the uncertainty to 2020 wedding planning was quickly halted. They set their sights on April 2021, giving them five months to plan their big day. To add to the stress of planning a wedding in a short amount of time, the unknown of another lockdown added another layer of pressure. Thanks to the perfect balance of patience and timing, Katie and Emmanuel were able to pull off the day of their dreams surrounded by their family friends. Katie beams, ‘Planning this wedding was very stressful but we were so blessed to get to our wedding day and be able to get married with no restrictions and 130 guests. We can’t believe in this crazy year that we’ve had that we were able to have the best day of our lives and also get away on a honeymoon’.

The Day

For Katie and Emmanuel, the highlight of their wedding day was finally seeing each other at the ceremony, it was a moment they had dreamt of for such a long time and it was finally happening!

Stealing a special moment alone after their ceremony, the couple beam in their first moments as husband and wife thanks Michael Renga Photography. Katie says ‘We still say now choosing him as our photographer was probably the best decision we made through the whole process. We received our photos we were blown away he did an amazing job and the quality is unreal!’ Working together with the talents of Steve from Moon and Back Co videography, the memories captured of their wedding day are something the couple will cherish forever.

Seeing their day come to life with the help of their amazing vendors was the cherry on top of a perfect day. Thanks to the talents of Rachelle from The Posie Place, their floral arrangements made for the perfect burst of colour, while the events team at The Pier were able to bring to life everything the couple had imagined. The perfect night of celebration for the couple that fell in love as wedding guests, finally able to call each other husband and wife.
