Our Love Story

Sean and I met in Wuxi, China, in 2016. We were both English teachers for the same English language school. Our relationship began as friends and as we got to know each other we realised there was a spark and something special between us. Our friendship blossomed into love.

We started dating in September of 2016 and travelled Asia together, going to many places within China as well as South Korea, Vietnam and Thailand. In 2019 I moved back to Australia while Sean continued teaching in China. In 2020 Sean moved back to Canada but the Covid pandemic hit, leaving the dreaded unknown of when we can be reunited again (it ended up being just over two years before we reunited!).

In 2022, Sean moved to Australia to start our lives together. He proposed at the airport with the words "I want today to be the start of the rest of our lives together."

If it weren't for the Covid pandemic we would have been married earlier, but I am also a firm believer of "good things happening to those who wait."

The Day

The whole day and night was like a fairytale. We had our nearest and dearest come to celebrate with us.

Deb and Ken at Bellbrae Harvest went up and beyond with the setting up and ensuring our wedding went well.

It was raining in the lead up of the wedding but during the morning it cleared, just in time for our First Look at Point Addis. It drizzled again but cleared up in time for the vows.

A rainbow appeared and the kookaburras laughed - it was a sign from our loved ones who've recently passed away that they were there too.

I had my sister, Meave (Maid of Honour) and two of my besties, Maddi & Georgie, join me in getting ready and accompanying me in the kombi to the first look.

Luisa and crew at Little Cine captured all the magical moments of our day.

It really was a day neither Sean or will forget. Everything was perfect.
