Shauna & Rashel

Love Story

For Shauna and Rashel, every day spent together is worth celebrating. Meeting through mutual friends five years ago, they have marked their time together in the numbers of days, not months or years like most couples. So it was at midnight on day 1000 that Rashel chose to propose to Shauna and they decided on forever. Bound together by a love of travel, they count some of their favourite days together travelling the world. From jet skiing in Tahiti, to tube hopping in London, and picnics in the park, they can’t wait to create many more memories together.
The Day

They say it’s good luck if it’s rains on your wedding day, and for Shauna and Rashel every element was in the mix for their celebration! Sunshine and wind before the ceremony, cloudy during ceremony, rain as they signed the paperwork, and sunshine as soon as the ceremony finished! And if you look closely enough, their marriage certificate even has rain spots on it!
Choosing their favourite coastal town as the backdrop to their big day, Shauna and Rashel can easily describe their day in three words: easy, relaxed and fun! At the Heads in Barwon Heads created an amazing atmosphere for the couple’s celebration, taking pride in every detail from the food to the service; the entire staff were amazing boasts Shauna.
Working with Luisa and Owen from Little Cine photography was a no brainer choice for the couple. From the very first moment they spoke with Luisa, they knew they were comfortable and didn’t want anyone else to capture the day. Luisa and Owen worked with the couple’s style while keeping the vibe fun and relaxed, even as the waves decided to intrude on their wedding portraits and wet Shauna’s dress! A highlight for the couple was Luisa’s suggestion that they take first-look photos as a way of calming their nerves, a beautiful moment captured forever and something they’d never planned on!
Day one of the rest of lives was absolute perfection for Shauna and Rashel, and we’re sure every day they’re together will make for a lifetime of happy milestones.
