Siobhan & Edan

Love Story

Siobhan and Edan first met twelve years ago while working part-time jobs in their hometown of Altona Meadows. Though they didn’t start dating straight away, a close friendship naturally evolved into something more. One post-shift dessert date was all it took – from that moment, they were inseparable.
Over the years, they’ve supported one another through university, built careers as a nurse and teacher, and travelled the world, starting with a backpacking adventure through Southeast Asia and more recently a long stint exploring Europe. Together, they’ve made a home in the Geelong region with their two beloved Border Collies, Narla and Indie.
On their ninth anniversary, Edan proposed during a peaceful weekend away in Apollo Bay. With the beach to themselves and their pups by their side, it was the perfect beginning to their next chapter.
The Day

From the moment Siobhan walked down the aisle to see Edan for the first time, the day was overflowing with meaningful moments. Their two dogs, Narla and Indie, played a starring role as flower girls, delivering the rings mid-ceremony. With Jessie Belle guiding the celebration and sharing their love story, the ceremony felt deeply personal.
Held at Merne at Lighthouse, the day was filled with warmth, exceptional hospitality, and heartfelt touches. The couple cherished their quiet time away with photographer Meg during portraits, and their long-rehearsed first dance was a huge hit – all set to a soundtrack of love songs performed by Sam Hanson, who learned each one especially for them.
They travelled in style to and from the venue in the bride’s parents’ 1957 Chevy, a sentimental touch that included a nerve-calming chat with Siobhan’s dad on the way there, and a surprise bull ant bite on the way home. A sparkler exit, joyful dancing, and the peaceful atmosphere brought on by rain made the whole day feel incredibly intimate and full of love.
Styling leaned into native florals and natural textures, with leafy bouquets in bright colours from a local Inverleigh flower farm, greenery running down long tables, candlelight, and rustic wooden name cards.
Siobhan and Edan made a conscious effort to support local Geelong vendors wherever possible, and they especially wanted to thank Sharon and Caleb from Merne for going above and beyond to make planning seamless and the day itself unforgettable.
