Love Story

Luke and I met in primary school. We were in the same classes and spent our childhoods riding our bikes and going on camping trips with our mutual friends. We remained friends until grade 6 where we lost contact. In 2016 we reconnected and talked back and forth before having our first date which was super casual, beers and Blink 182 music videos. We dated casually before making things official. Since then we have shared many adventures - our biggest being our beautiful daughter Sadie who was involved in our wedding day.
The Day

Luke and I bought our first home out in Teesdale - we love the quiet country feel so it made sense for us to celebrate our love while holding on to these vibes. We got married in Shelford at a beautiful small secluded cottage, sharing our vows in an intimate elopment style wedding with approx 20 guests. This allowed us to say our 'I do's' and then get straight into spending time with our nearest and dearest as a married couple. It felt so special. From here we went back to our home in Teesdale where we celebrated with a larger group where we had a pizza van, fairy lights, wine barrel drums and beers served in old bathtubs. Our first dance was a Blink 182 song (first date) performed acoustically by a friend which was a nod to our very first date.
Our wedding day was laid back, casual and so far from stressful it isn't funny. It suited us to a tee.
Stand out vendors was definitely the crew from Big Love Elopments- they really listened and made the experience so personal to us. I'll never forget our special venue. Cedar Cottage. It provided us with the most special, intimate and personal setting to celebrate our story.
